Yarb's board of directors brings to the organization diverse experience from both private and public sectors, including commercial, rural banking and microfinance, corporate and nonprofit organizations, and international community development. Yarb is under the leadership and direction of seasoned industry professionals who share among them the relevant skills and knowledge necessary to achieve the vision and mission of the bank. Our  distinguished board of directors includes the following personalities:

Samuel Addo Otoo (Board Chairman): Otoo is the Lead Promoter, Founding Member and Chairman of the Bank. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Easy Investment, a company that is engaged in the promotion of rural and community banking and microfinance the concept of cooperation and co-operative among co-operators. In addition to the establishment Yaa Asantewaa rural Bank, he has promoted the establishment of several other financial institutions including Atwima Co-operative Credit Union Ltd , Atwima Community Cooperative Credit Union, Wholesale Finance Network and Dichemso Methodist Co-operative Credit Union. He has extensive knowledge in Investment, Banking and Finance. He is a Member of the Institute of Directors, Ghana; Associate Member Association of Certified Chartered Economics; Associate Member American Bar Association. He holds MBA (Banking and Finance), MSc. Economics from KNUST and Bachelors degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast, Ghana. He is currently pursuing LLB at the law faculty KNUST, Kumasi. He was until December 2014 a part time lecturer at University of Ghana Business School (IDL) external Degree centre in Kumasi. He was appointed to the Board in April 2010.
Lawyer Musah Ahmed( Vice Chairman): Lawyer Ahmed is an astute legal practitioner with over 20 years experience in the practice of law in Ghana, both as a solicitor, advocate and researcher of the Supreme Court of Ghana. He hold BL and LLB from the Ghana Law School and the University of Ghana Law faculty respectively. He is also the CEO of Ahmed Legal Consult, a leading name in the legal profession with specialty in advocacy, class action and mass tort litigations. He has handled several high profile cases and has anchored several accolades in the legal fraternity. He was the lead counsel in the famous Wayame case and several other high profile business cases both in Ghana and abroad. He has extensive knowledge in banking, finance, business management and entrepreneurship and has been very instrumental in shaping the policy development and direction of the bank. He has authored several policies and contributed greatly to the growth  of and the development of the bank. He was appointed to the Board in 2013 and he is the Chairman of the Banks legal and procurement sub committee of the Board.


Gertrude Mensah (Board Member): Gertrude is Director of Human Resource at the Ghana Education Services (GES). She holds Masters degree in Education Management and a Postgraduate Certificate in Microfinance. He has been on the Board since 2013 and has contributed greatly to the Administrative, Finance and Operations committee works especially in the human resource and recruitment process and the development of our Human Resource Policy which has streamline the organizations as far as employee and employer issues and dealing with conflict situation. She was appointed to the Board in 2013. Gertrude is a member of the finance and operations sub committee of the board and leads the Human resources, conflict resolution and employee employer relations section of the bank
